Extreme athlete Lukas Wörleis the new brand ambassador for the ZEPPELIN sister brand bauhaus aviation. Launching with a paraglider from the summit of an 8000 meter peak is his dream, one he has been working toward for years. But that is not all. The watch brand bauhaus aviation is made for modern adventurers, and Lukas Wörle shows what that can mean today. His plans for 2024 alone include a 100 kilometer ultra running project in the Alps, an expedition to untouched descents in the Rocky Mountains, and a return to the Himalayas, the setting of his greatest challenges and the dramatic incident that made Lukas Wörle known throughout the mountaineering world and beyond
During his ascent of Broad Peak in 2023, Lukas Wörle encountered a dying high-altitude porter beyond 8000 meters, who had been left behind by another expedition, and decided to attempt a rescue. For hours, Lukas dragged the immobile man down the mountain until he was able to hand him over to other climbers, and eventually a helicopter brought the man to a hospital where his life was saved. Just a few days later, a wave of outrage swept through the global press — when it became known that on nearby K2, dozens of climbers had stepped over a dying Sherpa during their ascent, and again - over his body on the way back down.

High-altitude mountaineering in the death zone above 8000 meters is a game played at the risk of one's own life. The unspoken rule is that up there, everyone fights for themselves. But Lukas Wörle, at just 30 years old, belongs to a new generation of extreme athletes. What he accomplished on Broad Peak inspires others not to accept old dogmas, but to make their own decisions and act on them.
