Advertising Tracking

Use of Google Analytics

We use on our website the web analytics service Google Analytics by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). If your habitual residence is in the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is the data controller responsible for your data. Google Ireland Limited is thus the company affiliated with Google that is responsible for processing your data and complying with applicable data protection laws.

Data processing serves to analyse this website and its visitors as well as for marketing and advertising purposes. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use the information obtained to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. Among other things, the following information may be collected: IP address, date and time of page visit, click path, information about the browser and device you are using, pages visited, referrer URL, location data, purchase activities. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

Google Analytics uses technologies such as cookies, web browser storage, and tracking pixels that allow analysis of your use of the website. The information generated about your use of the website is usually transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the USA. There is no adequacy decision by the EU Commission for the USA. The data transfer takes place inter alia on the basis of standard contractual clauses as appropriate safeguards for the protection of personal data, viewable at: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks. Both Google and US governmental authorities may have access to your data. Google may link your data with other data, such as your search history, personal accounts, usage data from other devices, and all other data Google holds about you.

IP anonymization is enabled on this website. This means your IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before storage. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

Use of cookies or comparable technologies is based on § 15(3) sentence 1 TMG. Processing of your personal data is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR from our overriding legitimate interest in the demand‑oriented and targeted design of the website.  You have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object at any time to that processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by Google Analytics and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google as well as the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

To prevent device‑crossing data collection and storage by Google Analytics, you can set an opt‑out cookie. Opt‑out cookies prevent future collection of your data when visiting this website. You must perform the opt‑out on all systems and devices used for this to be fully effective. If you delete the opt‑out cookie, requests will again be transmitted to Google. By clicking here, the opt‑out cookie is set: Disable Google Analytics.

More information on terms of use and privacy can be found at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/ as well as at https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies?hl=de.

Use of Facebook Pixel

We use on our website the remarketing feature “Custom Audiences” of Facebook Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland; “Facebook”).

Facebook Ireland and we are joint controllers ("gemeinsam Verantwortliche") for the collection of your data through the use of the service and the transmission of this data to Facebook. The legal basis is an agreement between us and Facebook Ireland about joint processing of personal data, which defines our respective responsibilities. The agreement is accessible at https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. We are, in particular, responsible for fulfilling the information obligations under Articles 13, 14 GDPR, for compliance with the security requirements under Article 32 GDPR in regard to the correct technical implementation and configuration of the service, as well as for the obligations under Articles 33, 34 GDPR, as far as a breach of data protection involves our responsibilities under the joint processing agreement. Facebook Ireland is responsible for enabling the data subject rights under Articles 15‑20 GDPR, for ensuring the security required by Article 32 GDPR with respect to the service, and for complying with the obligations under Articles 33, 34 GDPR insofar as a breach relates to Facebook Ireland’s responsibilities under the joint processing agreement.

The purpose of using this feature is to address visitors of the website with interest‑based advertising on the social network Facebook. For this purpose, the remarketing tag of Facebook has been implemented on the website. Through this tag a direct connection to Facebook’s servers is established when the website is visited. This transmits to Facebook which of our pages you visited. Facebook then associates this information with your personal Facebook user account. When you visit the social network Facebook, you will then be shown personalized, interest‑based Facebook ads.

Your data may be transmitted to the USA. There is no adequacy decision by the EU Commission for the USA. The data transfer takes place inter alia on the basis of standard contractual clauses as appropriate guarantees for the protection of personal data, accessible at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum.

Use of cookies or comparable technologies is based on § 15(3) sentence 1 TMG. Processing of your personal data is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR from our overriding legitimate interest in addressing site visitors with interest‑based advertising.  You have the right for reasons arising from your particular situation to object at any time to that processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can deactivate the remarketing feature “Custom Audiences” here.

More information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, on your related rights, and privacy protection options can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

Google Ireland Limited is thus the Google‑affiliated company responsible for processing your data and complying with applicable data protection laws.

This application manages JavaScript tags and HTML tags that are used particularly for implementing tracking and analysis tools. The purpose of the data processing is to tailor and optimize our website appropriately.

The Google Tag Manager itself neither stores cookies nor does it process personal data. However, it enables the triggering of other tags that may collect and process personal data. More details on terms of use and data privacy can be found here.
